Getting Revenge with Porn in Baltimore and the Sweet Price of Satisfaction
A disgruntled former employee of a Baltimore company was recently sentenced to two years’ probation and 100 hours of community service for hacking into company systems and humiliating his ex-boss by displaying porn in 64" glory during a PowerPoint presentation to Baltimore city officials. The 52 year old IT admin decided to take sweet, sweet revenge on his boss after he was fired a few days earlier in September of 2009.
How did he manage this NSFW feat? The former employee installed key loggers onto his bosses’ computer and at least five other employees. The key loggers recorded passwords that allowed the man wide access to company resources. The prankster used the illicit access to send bogus emails, leak privileged information along with other illegal hijinks. However, his coup de grace, the busty babe on the 64" screen, proved to be his undoing. An undoubtedly irate boss and the IT department eventually tracked down the breach and managed to spend $80,000 ensuring that this sort of "episode" would not come up again.
Nearly three years after corrupting city officials and humiliating his boss at the same time, the disgruntled but smirking ex- worker was sentenced to two years of probation and 100 hours of community service. No word yet on whether or not the man has managed to find a new job. I'm guessing he won't be getting a reference from his ex-boss any time soon, but that apparently is the sweet price of satisfaction.
