Boycott Ebay and Paypal in , they are thieves with very questionable business and customer support practices.
I recently purchased some USB flash drives from a seller on Ebay. It turns out they were counterfeit / replica junk. I knew they would be junk when the shipping address was from China. Of course the product was identified as genuine and they even used the copyright symbols. I have to admit the packaging and unit itself were identical to the real thing, but it was junk and didn't work at all.
When I requested a refund, I was informed I would still have to return the junk all the way to China, which I did.
After sending the junk back, Ebay/Paypal then informed me my shipping code was invalid (It wasn't, it was from the USPS) and they denied my claim.
I also tried to report the seller for selling counterfeit product, but that claim wouldn't go thru because my 'item number' was no good, even though it was right off my invoice from paypal.
SO, I am out ~$60 + shipping for buying counterfeit junk that never worked and it is allowed by Ebay.
Ebay/Paypal provides no published phone number or direct email for customer support as they obviously don't really want to provide it.
Search on Google and other search engines with 'Ebay sucks' or 'paypal sucks', etc. You will see MANY other frustrated and pissed off people. In fact there are whole web sites devoted to this subject like www.ebaysucks.com/ and www.paypalsucks.com
I urge people to band together to put this company out of business for such horrible and sleazy business practices.
There has to be more honest and reliable online auction and epay sites out there that provide real customer service.
